What to Ask During a Pool Site Evaluation
Part 1 of 10: Pool Ownership 101
A site evaluation goes faster and produces a better design when the homeowner comes with questions too, not just answers. This site is dedicated to a single build method: gunite (shotcrete) construction, rebar cage, sprayed and hand-finished concrete, engineered bond beams, and a design that can be shaped to anything the lot allows, from tanning ledges to negative edges to integrated spas.

Questions About the Lot Itself
Ask what the soil report process looks like for your specific property, how drainage will be handled relative to the house foundation, and whether any existing trees, utilities, or easements constrain where the pool can go.
Questions About the Process
Ask what happens to the timeline if permitting or HOA review takes longer than expected, how change orders are handled if the design shifts after the site visit, and who the single point of contact is throughout construction, the kind of question that surfaces whether "single-builder accountability" is real or just a phrase.
Where This Fits
See our Gunite Pools service page, or Financing if cost is the next question.
